A Little About Me

something about flowers just makes me smile :)

“Think about your destination but don’t worry if you stray. The most important thing is what you learn along the way.” – Chicken Noodle Soup for the Soul

So, now that you’ve gotten a taste of my blogging style, I figured I should tell you a little about myself as well! To start off, I’m a 21 year old college student—on a budget. I go to school in the Midwest and have lived in this part of the country almost my whole life. I have a wonderful, loving family and terrific friends who are always supportive of everything I do. Even with all of the support I get, I am still reluctant to put myself out there—especially on social media.

With that being said, I am trying to come out of my shell and embrace one of the gifts God has given me—creativity within the makeup world (among many other passions). I have loved makeup for as long as I can remember. However, it wasn’t until I got to college that my interest turned into something more. Suddenly, I was doing makeovers for my friends, researching makeup products, watching tutorials, reading reviews—pretty much doing everything I could think of to learn more about the makeup industry and carry it into my everyday life.

I do want to make something clear: under no circumstances am I a professional. I'm all self-taught! I have no professional training nor do I have all of the most high-end products on the market—like I said earlier, I’m on a budget! I am just a college student who loves playing with and talking about makeup; and I am totally okay with that! I love to learn as much as I can about makeup, whether it’s a new technique, a new product or just a refresher on things I already knew.

I hope to grow and learn more when it comes to makeup. I love that makeup is all about fun and creativity and individuality. Whether you’re just starting makeup, you’ve been doing it for 50 years or you somewhere in the middle (like me), we all have something to learn.

So, I’ll stop blabbing now and extend to you my email and contact section on my blog. If you have any questions about me and my makeup journey, don’t hesitate to ask; I’d love to talk to you! Also, if you want to suggest a product you’d like to see reviewed, I will do my best to get my hands on it and create a review for you! I want this (blogging) to be a fun and interactive experience. That’s what makeup is all about!

I hope you find happiness and peace when you read these blogs—because I sure do when I write them.
