Best Products for Straightening Thick Hair

If you watch my videos then you may have noticed that I have quite a bit of hair. I always say that my hair is the only way one can tell that I'm Italian. While I'm so thankful for thick hair, it can be so hard to manage; that's why I wanted to share some of my favorite products with you that help me to efficiently straighten all of my hair without extensive damage.

The first product I need is my heavy-duty CHI flatiron. I got this flatiron for my 16th or 18th birthday, I believe, and I am coming up on my 22nd in just a few weeks. This iron has lasted me the entire time! It heats up so quickly and only takes about 1-3 runs through my hair to make it stick straight! I love it and I really don't think I'd be able to straighten my hair any better without it.

The Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil is next on my list of necessities when it comes to my hair. Whether I want to flatiron my hair, curl my hair, or just touch up my natural hair, this is my go-to. This provides so much shine, softness and de-frizzing. I don't think this product claims to be a heat protectant but my hairstylists always say my hair looks healthy and like I never take heat to it!

Don't laugh at this next product,,, I use Suave Kids Detangler to get knots out of my hair before I even start straightening it. I remember my parents using this exact product on my hair when I was little! Not only does it smell great, it wont burn your eyes if you accidentally spray yourself with it (which is easy to do, trust me) and it really does get every tangle out of my hair which makes the straightening process so much easier.

Once my hair is all stright I immedeately go in with my Garnier Hairspray. I have used this product for years and have never switched to anything else. This hold my thick hair all day in any style and keeps my frizz under control.

I feel like I can go on and on about how much I love all of these products! I truly feel like I have some stability when it comes to my hair routine thanks to these babies. All of these in conjunction with eachother makes straightening my hair that much easier.
