EcoTools Total Perfecting Sponge
I am so excited to share with you one of my most recent purchases! I have been a big fan of Alexandrea Garza's for quite a bit now and when I heard she was the new brand ambassador for EcoTools I knew I was going to support her and this collaboration!
While I knew I wanted to purchase something from EcoTools' new brush collection, I wasn't sure what I wanted. But, when my Beauty Blender went missing, I knew exactly what I needed.
However, before I purchased the EcoTools Total Perfecting Sponge, I did my research and scoured YouTube to see others' review it. I was completely in shock because literally every review I saw was positive! So, I went online and purchased the cutest green sponge ever.
I was a little skeptical when I took it out of the packaging because of how dense this sponge is. But, as soon as I ran it under water it did soften up a bit-- not as soft as the Beauty Blender-- but enough to work with.
I was also shocked, but excited, to see the angle on this bad boy. The tip of the sponge is the perfect angle to get the under eye concealer right up under the lash line and into the corner of the eye.
I have been using this sponge for a few weeks now and I think it's safe to say I love it! I really like the density of this sponge more than I thought I would. I feel like this leaves more product on my face while still keeping my skin looking natural-- not cakey.
However, I have bit of a love-hate relationship with the pointed tip of the sponge. I thought this would be great for under my eyes, which it is, and around my nose; but, this practically removes all makeup around my nose for some reason. I am not sure if it is because the tip absorbs more water than the rest of the sponge but I am not a fan of it.
Overall, this is a great sponge! Not to mention, it is a good value compared to the Real Techniques Sponge and the Beauty Blender. If you are considering investing in a new sponge, I would definitely suggest this one! It really does make my face look natural yet flawless.
