Garnier Mattifying Micellar Water
My skin has been acting up again lately. My guess is that it is a combination of the Chicago weather being as tempramental as ever and my integration of makeup removing wipes into my daily routine again. I don't know why but every makeup removing wipe I use causes me to break out; but, for some reason, I continue to use them anyway.
So, I was looking up the best makeup removers and found the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-In-One Mattifying Oily Skin, Even Sensitive. What a mouthful. This is not only a makeup remover but a cleanser and pore purifyer. I found mine at Target for under $10; and for how much product you get, that's a great deal!
Here are all of the reasons why I love this micellar water:
1) It is unscented. I hate when toners or cleansing waters smell like alcohol or roses or something unnatural. I just want some good-ol' cleansing water and I finally found it!
2) It takes off all traces of mascara-- waterproof or not. As you know, I love my mascara! I wear a ton of it and never have a day without it. So, the fact that this so easily removes all traces of it is incredible.
3) On that note, this never stings my eyes! I put a ton of this product on a cotton round and have, unfortunately, forgotten to close my eyes before rubbing that cotton round along my lashes. Normally, this would be the part where I curse and cry out in pain from product burning the heck out of my sensitive eyes. But, with this product I feel nothing-- it's amazing! I can get it in my eye and I am totally fine, no issues at all!
P.S. This does not burn open pimples or scrates on my face either-- bonus!
4) It's cheap. For how much product I am given this stuff is a bargain! Also, you can find this basically anywhere they sell drugstore items (ex: CVS, Walmart, Target, Kroger) so it's super easy to get your hands on.
While I have not noticed any huge mattifying affects, I have noticed that I do not get as oily throughout the day which is nice! And, my skin feels so clean after I use this that some nights I do not even wash my face after.
I am so happy that I tried this! I went out and bought a travel size of the original one so I have it when I go out of town or when I go to the gym mid-day!
