Blogmas Day 7: My Favorite Brushes

Blogmas Day 7

I love makeup brushes! I hoard them like it’s my job and resists washing them for as long as possible (don’t act like you don’t do the same). But, I do have a few that are my cult favorites that I will attempt to keep forever. Here are some of them:

This is by far my favorite makeup sponge! This does not soak up too much product, like many others can, it's super soft on my skin, it applies makeup beautifully, and it can be used for more than just foundation. I like to use this to apply foundation, concealer, loss powder (when baking), liquid/cream contour and even cream blush! Yes, it is a pricey sponge but it lasts forever and, in my opinion, is worth the splurge!

This is great if you're looking for a more full-coverage foundation look. This applies the foundation just enough to look airbrushed without looking cakey. I can really only use this brush when my skin is not dry-- it sticks to any and all of my dry patches when I do. But, it's a great price and definitely performs well!

Luxie Tapered Highlight Brush

I am so sad I can't find this as a single brush online! I got this in an IPSY bag years ago and have used it everyday since! While it says it is a highlight brush, I use it to apply powder under my eyes to set my concealer. It fits perfectly into my under eye and leaves the powder looking natural. If you can find this (not in a set) please let me know!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyeshadow Brush This came in my Modern Renaissance palette and I am obsessed! This is double sided and both end are super soft and flexible! They pack a punch no matter what shadow they apply and make blending so much more bearable.

This is has the best spoolie ever! I also love that the brush is angled which makes applying brow pomade that much easier. I love how well this applies my DipBrow and how well it buffs it into my natural brow. This brush can definitely help in achieving a bold brow but can also create a subtle everyday look.
