Caolion Premium Hot & Cool Duo: Hot Mask
I was so excited to try these out for you! This mask duo was first introduced to me by watching a Carli Bybel favorites video and I automatically knew I wanted to try it out! I was lucky enough to get a sample size of these masks so I could to a one-time trial and see how it went. I have tried both the hot (blackhead) and cool (pore) masks and I have some thoughts on them for you. Today, I will be telling you about the hot portion of this duo and Thursday, January 5 I will be sharing my thoughts on the cool portion. Let's get started!
Before I tell you what I think, here is what this duo claims to do for your skin:
The hot Premium Blackhead Steam Pore Pack cleans pore impurities and blackheads, and exfoliates dead skin cells with grain powder and steaming effects—resulting in firmer-looking skin. It contains charcoal powder to extract excess sebum and residual makeup that clog pores and 100 percent natural sparkling water to deeply penetrate into skin for enriched moisture. The cool Premium Pore Original Pack tightens up enlarged pores, calming and revitalizing the skin. It’s enriched with 100 percent Alaskan glacial water to keep skin moist even after the removal of mask while menthol enables a cooling effect to soothe troubled skin effectively.
What's not to love?!
After a nice run outside I decided that it was time to test this baby out! I washed and dried my face and then slathered the hot mask all over my skin. Although it does say that it's a "hot" mask, it does not feel at all warm on the skin neither before nor after applying it. So, that was disappointing.
The package dictates to wear the mask for about 10-15 min but I like to live on the edge so I kept it on for about 20 ;) The mask stayed pretty tacky the entire time I was wearing it which I found odd. But, I loved the little exfoliating beads that were in the mask; they left my face nice and soft!
Overall, this heat mask felt a little gimmicky to me. However, it did leave my skin soft which I appreciated. Would I use this again? Maybe if I got another free sample, But, I don't think I would go out of my way to purchase the heat portion of the duo.
